George R. R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" series is one of the BEST fantasy series I have ever read. Martin is a very talented author, who created a wonderfully original world. Martin does not tell his story through just one character, but through many different characters from different families and background. I loved these books so much! Most of them I read more than once.
The HBO series "The Game of Thrones" is also a great series and includes much of what is in the book.
If you like the TV show you should defiantly read the books!
